1.The throughput of major ports in China continued to increase last week as economic activities keep picking up pace, the China Ports and Harbours Association (CPHA) said on Wednesday.

2.China is speeding up resumption of main projects in various regions, with governments at all levels rolling out supportive policies and regulations to recover work effectively.

3.China's iron ore futures rose on March 18 on further policy support for an economy battered by the coronavirus pandemic.

4.On March 13, CLIA announced that cruise ship operations from and to US ports will be temporarily suspended for 30 days as a result of continued spread of the novel coronavirus.

5.A cargo ship from Guinea unloaded 262,000 tons of bauxite at Yantai port, eastern Shandong province on March 16.

6.MSC MINA and MSC SAMAR, two state-of-the-art and the world's largest container ships, with a remarkable lifting capacity up to 22.49 tons or 23,656 TEUs, docked at the Xiamen Songyu Container Terminal.

7.PRC MSA issued "Operational Guidance for Ships and Seafarers for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic (V1.0)".

8.HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), now a Cosco unit, has voided another transpacific sailing due to the expected drop in market demand.
