Costa Cruises announced on Friday it will be suspending all of its global voyages until April 3 in the wake of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak around the globe.

The company said all of its cruises have strengthened epidemic prevention recently, but planning for global voyages have been hindered as many countries have issued stricter travel restrictions.

Therefore, all cruises in operation will have to stop so the passengers onboard can disembark and return home.

The company's services in China had already halted on January 25.
