1. The Ministry of Transport of China dispatched rescue vessels to search and rescue (SAR) for SANCHI crew in the East China Sea after the accident occurred. On the morning of Jan 8, China “DONG HAI JIU 117” Wheel salvaged one seafarers body in immersion suit and the body was delivered to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China for identity verification.
2. COSCO Shipping Holdings announced the chairman Wan Min has resigned from the board, and the resignation has taken place with immediate effect on Jan 8, 2018.
3. On Jan. 8, Jiangnan Shipyard group delivered "Desert Orchid", a 22k cubic meter LPG ship built for Petredec Company.
4. AVIC Weihai Shipyard signed and delivered 37,650-ton bulk carrier "BULK TRADER" (AVIC396) for German shipowner OLDENDORFF CARRIERS on Jan 8.
5. The 8000PCTC-4 ro-ro ship built by Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industries for a Swedish shipowner was successfully undocked today.
