1.On January 19, in the automatic yard of Dalian container terminal, the automatic rail crane controlled by the operator remotely successfully completed the stacking operation of a 40 foot container.
 
2.China has signed an agreement with Myanmar to invest and develop Kyaukphyu port in Rakhine State into a major container port as part of a package of agreements signed between the countries spanning infrastructure, power and trade.

3.Taiwanese dry bulk shipping operator U-Ming Marine Transport has placed an order at Japan’s Oshima Shipbuilding for the construction of up to four 100,000 dwt panamax bulk carriers.

4.Taiwanese shipbuilder CSBC has announced the company and its offshore joint venture partner DEME will replenish capital into CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering to support the construction of a heavylift vessel.

5.A total of 10 Myanmar crew members were rescued from a cargo ship that started to overturn in east China's Zhangzhou sea area on Sunday. 

6.Customs in northern China's port city of Tianjin ordered 15,225 tonnes of smuggled solid waste to be shipped back to where it originated in 2019.

7.COSCO's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has cancelled numbers of transpacific sailings in response to the annual Chinese New Year slowdown, the Hong Kong-based company announced.

8.China’s coal imports are likely to show an impressive bounce in January after customs delays crimped December clearances, but questions remain as to the outlook for 2020 as a whole.
