Two Ships Collide on Shanghai Anchorage, 10 Crew Missing
 
At Beijing time 12:30 Jan 2, two cargo ships CHANGPING and XINWANG138 collided on Shanghai Wusongkou No. 8 anchorage. CHANGPING sank and 13 crew missing.
 




Shanghai Maritime Police immediately carried out emergency rescue with Donghai Rescue Bureau and other units to search CHANGPING’s crew and three crew were rescued by 0049 Jan 3. Two were rescued by JUNYU28 and one was rescued by XINWANG138.
 





The chief officer, second engineer and a sailor fortunately to be rescued and 10 crew were still missing. However, Shanghai Maritime Bureau still deploys boat, ships and helicopter on the accident site till now.
