China Merchants Energy Shipping issued an announcement saying that the company's overseas single shipping company and the independent third party ADVANTAGETANKERSLLC signed an agreement to sell two 298,000 dwt and 296,000 dwt VLCC tankers, the total price of the agreement equivalent to RMB 521 million.

The agreement has now entered into force and is expected to be completed in the near future.

According to China Merchants Steamship, the sale of assets is expected to bring about RMB 28.01 million in non-operating income to the company.

The sale of two VLCC tankers is expected to result in a slight reduction in the company's own tanker capacity in the short term, without affecting the company's ability to continue operations.
