Hong Kong Ming Wah’s HSQE Management System passes CCS Audit xinde marine news 2019-11-27 15:21

Hong Kong Ming Wah, a subsidiary of CMES, underwent an annual review of Safety Management (ISM) and Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015) systems by China Classification Society (CCS), as well as the first certification audit for Environment Management (ISO 14001:2015) and of the Occupational Health and Safety Management (ISO 45001:2018) systems.

After three days of on-site audit, the CCS team spoke highly of Hong Kong Ming Wah’s safety management, quality control and social responsibility awareness. They assert the sound functioning of its management system, which meets the requirements for retaining/issuing ISM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates.

Always insisting on the safety management philosophy of ‘We value people and life’, Hong Kong Ming Wah advocates environmental protection and emphasises accountability of senior official. In April 2019, the company is engaged in creating a safety management system of environmental protection and occupational health, effective from 1 August 2019, in order to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The further improvement of the management system has effectively enhanced the company’s market competitiveness. This provides strong support for executing CMES’ strategic goal of ‘building a world-class shipping enterprise’.
