1.Shanghai International Port Group and Huawei Technologies signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai on November 4 to jointly build a smart port.

2.Shipping company Terntank has placed orders for two LBG/LNG powered tankers at China’s AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding.

3.Taicang Port in East China's Jiangsu province, the largest container port along the Yangtze River, has improved its efficiency over the first three quarters of 2019.

4.Coal exports from Australia's Gladstone port to China rebounded with a month-on-month jump of 2.95 times from September's 3-1/2 year low in October.
 
5.On the afternoon of November 4, a delegation led by Mr. Li Yaoqiang, Chairman of China National Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd., visited COSCO SHIPPING.

6.The ninth ALMC, an annual event jointly organised for these industries by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong government, will be held on November 19-20.
 
7.The Baltic Exchange's main sea freight index, which tracks rates for ships ferrying dry bulk commodities, slid more than 7% to its lowest in over four months on November 6.
 
8.Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, co-CEO of Tototheo Maritime, has been re-elected for a second term as Women's International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) International President.
