China CSIC Got Order of Refitting Ships for MSC and CMA CGM
 
Both MSC and CMA CGM cooperated with Chinese yard CSIC to upgrade their containerships.


 
CSIC affiliated yard Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry (BSIC) obtained the orders for the upgrade of 9+2 14,000 TEU container ships of MSC after making the deal of refitting 5+5 container ships for CMA CGM. 


 
MSC signed contract with BSIC to increase the length of its nine 14,000 TEU container ships to boost their capacity to 17,000 TEU and another two ships will be upgraded and delivered next year, according to sources.
