On 3 Sep 2019, Mr Xie Chunlin, Chairman of CMES, met with Mr Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen, Maritime CEO of DNV GL, in Hong Kong.
Mr Xie extended a warm welcome to Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen and briefly introduced to him the latest development of CMES’ fleet and improvements to the company’s headquarters. Mr Xie also spoke highly of DNV GL’s service, especially the support that DNV GL provided in projects such as the “Green Corridor”. They discussed a wide range of issues, including the current state of LNG duel fuel ships, shipping technology innovation services, and future cooperation.
Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen thanked CMES for their support of DNV GL, praised CMES’ vision in their mid- to long-term planning, and shared the latest news on the collaboration projects. He also expressed an interest in exploring further cooperation in shipping safety, quality, environmental friendliness and innovation.
