UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) Annual Report 2018 xinde marine news 2019-07-30 11:02


The UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) has published its Annual Report for 2018 highlighting the work of the branch during the past year.
 
In 2018, 1227 accidents (casualties and incidents) to UK vessels or in UK coastal waters were reported to the MAIB. These involved 1339 vessels.
 
27 of these accidents involved only non-commercial vessels, 456 were occupational accidents that did not involve any actual or potential casualty to a vessel.
 
There were 744 accidents involving 798 commercial vessels that involved actual or potential casualties to vessels.
