The Port of Singapore was crowned the “Best Seaport – Asia” for the 31st time at the 2019 Asia Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS) held in Hong Kong on 17 June 2019. In addition, the Port of Singapore was also named the “Best Green Seaport”.
The annual AFLAS awards, organised by freight and logistics publication Asia Cargo News, honour organisations for demonstrating leadership as well as consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability. Winners were determined by votes cast by readers of the publication.
“We are once again humbled by the strong support given by the industry. We will certainly not rest on our laurels and continue to work closely with our stakeholders to strengthen the Port of Singapore as a leading international maritime centre and global hub port,” said Ms Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
