Ningbo Zhoushan Port's annual cargo throughput ranking first in the world for 13 consecutive years Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-01-17 16:10

The latest data from Zhejiang Port Shipping Administration shows that in 2021, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has completed an annual cargo throughput of 1.224 billion DWT, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, ranking first in the world for 13 consecutive years.
 
The completed container throughput was 31.08 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%, continuing to rank third in the world.
 
For the first time, the annual cargo throughput exceeded 1.2 billion DWT, the container throughput exceeded 30 million TEUs for the first time, and the sea-rail combined transportation volume exceeded 1.2 million TEUs for the first time.
 
At the end of last year, there were 287 routes in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. In 2021, Ningbo Zhoushan Port supplies over 7.548 million TEUs of empty containers throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%.
