Cosco Shipping set to expand its fleet xinde marine news 2019-05-20 15:32


Another two 2,200-unit car carrier ships will join the Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers fleet by the end of this year, according to Yan Maifeng, the captain of Chang Rong Kou.
 
The 4,100-unit PCTC Chang Rong Kou is part of the current fleet of five carriers which allows the company to transport 20,000 units. The company said that the addition of two more vessels would allow it to better serve the world's largest automotive market.
 
China has been the world's largest automotive market for the past 10 years in 2018, manufacturing 27.81 million vehicles and selling 28.08 million units nationwide, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
