On March 21,CIMC Raffles was awarded an EPC contract in Yantai for the BP Greater Tortue Ahmeyim Project-Phase 1   Hub/Terminal Living Quarters and Utilities Platform. Last October, CIMC Raffles and BP signed the FEED contract for this project in London, with a mechanism to convert it to an EPC contract at the end of FEED. This EPC contract has been executed based on the collaborative FEED completed by CIMC Raffles and BP.

BP is a large oil and gas enterprise, operating in over 70 countries including China. The BP – CIMC contract is for a Living Quarters and Utilities Self-installing Platform, which will serve the Hub/Terminal in the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim Field Development, a major LNG (liquefied natural gas) project located offshore on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal. The platform is designed to incorporate high standard safety and security features and satisfy HAB++(OS) standard, which is the highest standard of American Bureau of Shipping.

CIMC Raffles is an EPC company focusing on high-end offshore platforms and vessels. Bassoe Technology, the Swedish R&D center of CIMC Raffles, undertook the FEED design together with CIMC’s R&D team. KBR is supporting BP with contract management through a separate contract. KBR is a global engineering, construction and consulting services company who have provided FEED and project support services for the Tortue Ahmeyim Phase 1. "As the BP Tortue Ahmeyim QU Platform will be the home for all staffs working in the Hub, safety, quality and comfort are the most basic and important requirements. I deeply believe that this project will be successful and executed to a high standard with collaboration among all parties", said CEO and President Wang Jianzhong of CIMC Raffles.
