Spot rates from China to North Europe fell 4.8 per cent on Friday from the previous week to US$684 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade fell one per cent to $725 per TEU, London's Loadstar reported. Asia to US west coast increased 22.3 per cent to $1,626 per FEU while those to the east coast off 4.9 per cent to $2,357 per FEU.
