On March 22, local time, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella met with Chinese and Italian representatives attending the meetings of the Business Forum Italy China (BFIC), China-Italy Third Party Market Cooperation Forum and China-Italy Cultural Cooperation Mechanism in Rome. Mr. Sun Jiakang, Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING, was invited to the meeting with the state leaders.

On behalf of COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Sun Jiakang attended the 6th BFIC Meeting held in Rome as a BFIC Council member.

 

The BFIC aims to advance cooperation between and development of the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, investment, technology and tourism, build a new platform for direct exchanges between enterprises of both sides, and provide a new channel for efficient communication between the business community and the government. China’s Ministry of Commerce and Italy’s Ministry of Economic Development attended the 6th BFIC Meeting.

Executives from COSCO SHIPPING Europe accompanied Mr. Sun Jiakang during the relevant activities of the BFIC.
