On April 1, China issued a notice, during the prevention and control of the epidemic, international cargo ships are prohibited to carry people other than their crews entering into Chinese ports.
The notice emphasized that international cargo ships intending to enter Chinese ports should immediately submit a "declaration of non-carrying of personnel other than their own crew" to the maritime administration of the Chinese port where they intend to arrive, and confirm the above statement when going through the formalities of import shore.
The notice requires that the cargo ship under its international navigation shall not carry any person other than its own crew during the epidemic prevention and control period.
The captain and relevant crew members are required to strictly implement the relevant regulations, strengthen the control of the ladder entrance and the management of the people onboard, and prevent irrelevant people from boarding the ship.
When handling the procedures for the entry of ships into ports, the maritime administration shall, in combination with the health information of the crew members and the crew list declared by the ship, focus on strengthening the inspection of the crew members on board.
