Huanghua port handles 203.3 Mt coal in 2018 xinde marine news 2019-01-07 14:34


Huanghua port, a major coal hub in Bohai Bay in northern China, saw its coal handling reach 203.3 million tonnes in 2018, said operator Huanghua Harbour Administration Corporation.
 
The port also realized rail coal unloading of 204.13 million tonnes in total last year, said the company.
 
In full-year of 2018, the port shut operations for a total of 888.7 hours, up by 3.8% from a year earlier.
 
Huanghua port boasts the shortest distance to top coal province Shanxi in northern China, and has 25 berths each with capacity above 10,000 tonnes and sea-lanes each with capacity of 200,000 tonnes.
 
Its designed annual handling capacity exceeds 500 million tonnes.   
 
Five major railways are connected with the port for coal shipment, including Shuohuang, Hanhuang, Huangwan, Canggang and Huangda (under construction) railways.
