(NBOSCO): The successful international debut of its first converted domestic-to-international container vessel, Xin Ming Zhou 90, which recently completed its maiden voyage to Ho Chi Minh Port, Vietnam, carrying 808 TEUs!
The “domestic-to-international” conversion involves upgrading navigation systems, communication equipment, and compliance with global maritime standards—a complex process that unlocks new operational capabilities. This transformation allows NOSCO to optimize fleet efficiency, expand service networks, and better support China’s Belt and Road Initiative and dual-circulation strategy.
Xin Ming Zhou 90 (delivered in 2021) is no ordinary vessel. Built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, this 1,000-TEU ship boasts cutting-edge green technology, superior energy efficiency, and smart features, setting a benchmark in sustainable shipping.
NBOSCO isn’t stopping here! Sister vessels Xin Ming Zhou 92 and Xin Ming Zhou 96 are slated for similar conversions, soon joining regional routes.
