On August 26, 2024, China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement for joint operations with Jisu Logistics, a subsidiary of GEELY , in Ningbo. The agreement marks a deepened partnership between the two companies, focusing on global roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) shipping routes, vessel capacity sharing, and joint market development.

This collaboration builds upon their established relationship, which began in 2022 with CMES handling Geely’s international shipping routes to the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, and Southeast Asia. The agreement is a strategic step under the broader cooperation framework between China Merchants Group and Geely Group, aiming to enhance their global competitiveness in the RoRo shipping sector.

Geely Holding Group, founded in 1986, is a major player in the automotive industry, with assets exceeding 510 billion yuan. Its subsidiary, Jisu Logistics, manages the logistics operations for Geely's automotive business, providing comprehensive services across the supply chain.
