Six crew members all rescued after cargo ship sinking xinde marine news 2018-07-09 15:32


Six crew members with a sinking cargo ship were all saved by rescuers sent by local transport administration authorities on Saturday in waters east of Luchao Port in Shanghai. 
 
The accident happened earlier Saturday at about 17:00 local time when the entire cargo ship carrying sand was all flooded in a dangerous circumstance. 
 
The local rescue authorities received an alarm and immediately sent rescuers to the scene of the accident. Upon their arrival there, the rescue found out that water was flowing rapidly into the cabin of the cargo ship, which was beginning to sink. The six crew members were awaiting rescue on the deck. 
 
At about 18:30, the local salvage bureau dispatched two professional rescue ships and a helicopter to rescue the six crew members. Finally, the six crew members were all saved. 
 
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
