The Ocean Alliance is changing its Middle East services to offer a total of four loops serving Asia and Middle East ports by merging the existing ME2 product into the ME1 to form a single loop.

Service coverage will continue to include mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Busan, Southeast Asia, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.

"With this reshuffle, we will be able to optimise the network and enhance the reliability of the products to customers," said OOCL, which announced the move.

Effective from the end of July, the new ME1 port rotation will be Tianjin, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Sohar, Jebel Ali, Hamad, Dammam, Jubail, Singapore and back to Tianjin.
