Xinjiang-based Mahe gas field output exceeds 8 bln cu m xinde marine news 2018-07-04 16:38

The Mahe gas field of Xinjiang Oil Field Company produced 8.37 billion cubic meters of natural gas by June 21, with Manna 001 single-well gas output exceeding 2 billion cubic meters, sources said.

The Mahe gas field commenced operation in November, 2017 with its crucial role to secure one quarter natural gas supply of Xinjiang Oil Field Company.

Yet following sustained exploitation of gas field, the output declines in seven existing gas wells and could not suffice the increasing demand from the northern Xinjiang region.

Based on that, researchers have spent two years on increasing and stabilizing the natural gas output in the peripherals of the Mahe gas field.

In 2016, MN1006 gas well was piloted with daily 200,000 cubic meters of natural gas production, definitely revealing the huge potentials for the Mahe gas field.

In the second half of this year, researchers of the company will launch Manna 004 gas well at first to further boost the gas output of the Mahe gas field.
