China's key steel mills reported their daily output of crude steel at 2 million tonnes in mid-May (May 11-20) this year, showed latest data from China Iron and Steel Association.
The volume was 59,300 tonnes or 3.05% higher than the level ten days ago, data showed, indicating faster growth of steel production amid favorable market and robust demand.
As of May 20, stocks of steel products at these key steel firms stood at 13.92 million tonnes, increasing 310,000 tonnes or 2.29% from ten days ago.
