Port Hedland Oct iron ore exports to China up 7.7% YoY Sxcoal 2022-11-14 10:47

Australia's largest iron ore handling port Hedland exported a total of 46.90 million tonnes of iron ore in October 2022, inching up 0.43% year on year and rising 2.04% month on month, data from Pilbara Port Authority showed.
 
Iron ore exports to China in October were 42.12 million tonnes, up 7.74% from a year and rising 6.11% from a month ago. The volume accounted for 90% of the port's total iron ore exports.
During the first 10 months, Hedland exported 463 million tonnes of iron ore, rising 2.44% year on year. Exports to China stood at 399 million tonnes, 6.37% higher than a year ago and accounting for 86%.
 
Hedland is one of the largest iron ore handling ports in the world. BHP, FMG and Roy Hill Holdings ship iron ore outside through this port.
