SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday slipped 2.2 per cent to US$793 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade increased 1.5 per cent to $795 per TEU. Asia to the US west coast dipped 5.4 per cent to $1,308 per FEU while those to the east coast off 1.4 per cent to $2,331 per FEU.
