On October 23, Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) announced that it decided to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai Port Group Yangtze River Delta Haihe Transportation Development.
 
As the traditional core hinterland of the container business development of Shanghai Port, the Yangtze River Delta region has always been the key source to ensure the continuous growth of the container volume of SIPG. In order to enhance the market competitiveness of the company in the Yangtze River Delta region, promote the integrated development of higher quality in the Yangtze River Delta, and accelerate the joint construction of the global shipping hub with the Yangtze River Delta, recently, SIPG decided to invest in the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Yangtze River Delta Haihe Transportation Development, the company's registered capital is 100 million yuan.
 
SIPG said that the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Company will provide a strong guarantee for the continuous growth of the container volume of Shanghai Port and the realization of green and environmental protection development, and further enhance the status of Shanghai port as a collection and transportation hub in the Yangtze River Delta.
