HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has advised customers of the need to provide extra data on imports required on Indian import bills of lading.

From April, the below data from the importer must be declared on the bill of lading for all Indian import cargoes discharging at Mumbai-Nhava Sheva.

These include Import & Export Code (IEC), GST Identification Number (GSTIN) and one's email address.

"Please refer to our Indian Local News for more details. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our local customer service representatives," said the OOCL statement.
