Chinese gas consumption up 10% in Q1 xinde marine news 2018-04-25 16:08



China's gas consumption increased by 9.8% year on year to 71.2 billion cubic metres in the first three months of 2018, Li Fulong, director of planning and development at the National Energy Administration (NEA), said on April 24.
 
Demand for city gas grew the fastest, at 23%, followed by power sector demand, which was up by 12%, and industrial demand, which increased by 2%.
 
Use of gas by the chemicals sector declined by 15% during the same period, according to the NEA.
