CSSC Chengxi signs construction contract for 2 37,000DWT asphaltum carrier xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-09-07 13:49

On the afternoon of September 3, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard and a Dutch shipowner company successfully signed a 1+1 37,000DWT asphaltum carrier construction contract.

The order for CSSC Chengxi came from the global trading giant Vitol. Vitol's subsidiary VALT has 14 professional ships and is one of the world's largest ISO asphaltum container fleets, with a maximum capacity of 44,000DWT.

Based on the good experience gained after chartering the 37,000DWT asphaltum carrier built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, Vitol asked the company to build 1+1 new ships of the same type.

This is another achievement made by CSSC Chengxi in adhering to the business philosophy of "building every ship and every ship is a good advertisement".
