Qingdao Port opens new European and American routes! xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-05-20 14:19

On May 18, the 350-meter ship "COSCO HELLAS" left berth 108 at Qingdao port, marking the launch of COSCO SHIPPING AWE6 Europe and North America pendulum routes in Qingdao Port, Shandong. Up to now, Shandong Port has opened 10 new foreign trade routes this year, a total of 311 routes connected to the world.

Since its establishment in 2019, Shandong Port has continued to deepen the integration reform, with Qingdao Port as the "leader". In 2020, Qingdao Port adds 20 new routes, including 14 foreign trade routes. The container throughput of Qingdao Port reaches 21.01 million TEU, with a year-on-year growth of 4.7%, surpassing Pusan Port and ranking sixth in the world and first in Northeast Asia.

For Shandong Port, after the opening of the route, it will further encrypting the density from Shandong port to the European Mediterranean Sea and the eastern ports of the United States, and build a new logistics channel of "buying the world and selling the world" for northern China through Qingdao port of Shandong province.
