According to the data of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation, from January to April, Ningbo Zhoushan Port completed the cargo throughput of 398.358 million dwt, with a year-on-year growth of 15.1%; Container throughput was 10.4 million TEUs, up 25.6% year on year. In April, Ningbo Zhoushan Port completed the cargo throughput of 105.099 million dwt, a year-on-year growth of 9.8%; The container throughput reached 2.713 million TEU, up 26.8% year on year, providing important support for economic development.
 
In terms of containers, Ningbo Zhoushan Port took the initiative to solve the problem of "one container is hard to find" in the shipping market, and actively introduced policies and measures to attract empty containers. From January to April, it completed 59 extra ships to import empty containers, importing 2.41 million TEU.
 
At the same time, Ningbo Zhoushan Port continued to optimize the port collection and distribution network. In April, 3 new offshore branch lines were added, and the total number of routes increased to 269. A new sea-railway combined freight train has been added, bringing the total number of freight trains to 20, covering 15 provinces and municipalities (autonomous regions) and 56 prefecture-level cities.
 
In terms of bulk cargo, Ningbo Zhoushan port actively meets the production demand brought by the strong demand for iron ore, reasonably arranges the operation plan, and achieves double-digit growth of iron ore loading and unloading within the unified business scope of the joint-stock company. In addition, from January to April, Ningbo Zhoushan port's grain, automobile roll-roll and other businesses also showed a good growth trend
