On April 12, COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) held the launching ceremony for N999 FPSO built for BP.
 
The N999 FPSO project is the first floating production, storage and offloading tanker built by the Chinese shipyard for an African project of a leading European oil company.
 
COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) is responsible for Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) of the main hull and living area, as well as the construction of upper modules.
 
The project ship is 270 meters long, 54 meters wide, and 31.5 meters deep. The living area can accommodate up to 140 people.
 
"Tortue-N999" FPSO is a floating production, storage and offloading tanker from BP undertaken by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and TechnipFMC. It is a highly difficult and large-scale FPSO project undertaken by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry.
