In September 2020, the monthly throughput of Yantian Port in Shenzhen exceeded 1.46 million teu, breaking the record of throughput of a single port in the world again, which was another breakthrough after the record of throughput of a single port in August.

Yantian Port mainly serves European and American routes. In the context of the spread of the global epidemic, recent retail giants such as Wal-Mart and Amazon have actively stocked basic living supplies and personal protective items in response to the upcoming Christmas sales season. Many foreign trade companies are targeting this export market continues to expand export volume.

"Many factors, such as fast and convenient customs clearance, personalized service and stable new routes, make shipping companies choose Yantian port." Shenzhen Junli and other shipping agency enterprises said.

The convenient customs clearance environment effectively reduces the cost of relevant entities, including shipping companies and shipper enterprises, and the good shipping environment of Yantian port can enhance the viscosity of shipping companies attached to Yantian port. The maiden voyage of the world's first LNG-powered 23,000 TEU container ship is a good proof of this.

Yantian port is one of the busiest container ports in the world. It is also the hub port of international container ocean transportation in South China.
