Chongqing Port Logistics Group will cooperate with Taizhou Central Port to build the Chongqing Port-Taizhou logistic channel, making Chongqing port a vital part of the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, local media reported.

According to the agreement, the two parties will share information in goods supply and division of port resources. In addition, they will further expand distribution of phosphorus and sulfur and build a bulk goods transportation base. New designated container routes will be opened.

This cooperation integrates resources of railways, ports, and shipping along the Yangtze River Economic Belt and effectively reduces logistics costs.

Chongqing Port Logistics Group was selected as one of the second group of combined transportation demonstration projects. Along with Shanghai port and Nanjing port, it will promote the development of the shipping industry along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The parties will make use of each other's advantages and further facilitate the Chongqing port-Taizhou port logistics channel. They will seek combined river-ocean and railway-river transportation to drive regional economic growth.
