1. COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited ( “COSCO SHIPPING Ports” or “CSP” or “the Company”; SEHK:1199), the world’s leading port operator, announced a signing ceremony was held on January 22,2018 with Port of Zeebrugge in Brussels of Belgium for the concession terms of CSP Zeebrugge Terminal (“CSP Zeebrugge”).
 
2. China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has launched a new freight train route to Poland. The train, carrying electrical products and sheet metal, left Qinzhou city in Guangxi 17 Jan for Malaszewicze in Poland. It is the first freight train linking Guangxi with Europe.
 
3. China Shanghai will explore the construction of a free trade port in an effort to facilitate trade and investment, Mayor Ying Yong said Tuesday.
  
4. China plans to develop two deep-sea manned submersibles capable of reaching a depth of 11 kilometers by around 2020, according to an oceanic association official.
 
5. JP Morgan says in a research report, “China’s four largest refiners - PetroChina, Sinopec, Cnooc, and Sinochem - will be allowed to ship 20 million tonnes of refined products in the first quarter of 2018, a 54% jump from a year ago.”
