China Rescue Efforts Continue, SANCHI Blasted
 




The Ministry of Transport of China dispatched rescue vessels to search and rescue (SAR) for SANCHI crew in the East China Sea after the accident occurred till now.
 


Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Center organized the risk assessment meeting and arranged recue vessels to carry out foam fire-fighting to SANCHI. On 1110 Jan 10, “SHEN QIAN HAO”, “DE SHEN” and “DONG HAI JIU101” arrived at the scene and on-going implemented foam fire-fighting to SANCHI.
 




On 1335, the bow of SANCHI blasted and the on-site vessels suspended fire fighting operations and evacuated to a safe distance.The operations did not achieve the expected results.
