A liberian ship, GAS PRODIGY, has leaked propylene. Propylene is extremely flammable and there is a risk of combustion and explosion. At present, the professional maintenance team is in the process of emergency treatment.

The vessel was loaded with 2,400 tons of liquid propylene and arrived at Fuzhou Zhongjiang Chemical Terminal to unload at 16:00 on February 10. During the inspection, the terminal operators found that there was a crack in the cargo pump 1 flange of cargo compartment 1 and propylene gas leakage. After taking temporary stop leakage measures, the ship was towed to anchor in safe waters outside the port in the early morning of the 11th, and clear the anchoring ships within the radius of 3000m to minimize the risk. On the evening of February 12, the professional maintenance team boarded the ship to carry out the stop leakage repair work. At present, the emergency disposal of this vessel is still in progress.
