China Shipyard's First Large LNG Ship Order This Year! Hudong Zhonghua made a good start xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-01-20 16:00


On January 17, Hudong Zhonghua, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, won the construction contract for two 79,900 cubic meters LNG vessels supporting the Malaysian LNG project. This is also the first large-scale LNG ship order received by the Chinese shipyard this year, setting a good start for 2020.
 
The type of ship constructed this time is a river-sea combined transport LNG ship with a total length of 239 meters and a width of 36.6 meters. The tank type is GTT No. 96 L03 +. It adopts an efficient low-speed dual fuel diesel engine direct propulsion system,which is the fourth-generation LNG carrier in the world's largest shallow waterway, and also another force in the family of G4 "changxing" series LNG carrier. 
 
This is China's first river-sea combined LNG carrier, marking an important breakthrough in industry development for Hudong Zhonghua in implementing the high-quality development strategy outline of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, focusing on the development of LNG industry chain.
