China State Shipbuilding Corporation and China Shipbuilding Industry Company formally reorganized at the end of last month. This morning, the reorganized China state Shipbuilding Corporation held its inaugural meeting and unveiling ceremony in Beijing.
 
China State Shipbuilding Corporation, which was established after the reorganization, will become the world's largest shipbuilding group. It has 147 research institutes, business units and listed companies, with total assets of 790 billion yuan and 310,000 employees. With the largest shipbuilding and repairing base in China and the most complete research capabilities of ships and supporting products, it is able to design and build ships and offshore equipment that conforms to the global classification society standards and meets the requirements of international general technical standards and safety conventions.
 
In the future, CSSC will become the main force in the research, design, production, test and support of naval weapons and equipment, undertaking the research and production tasks of all main combat equipment of the Chinese navy represented by aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines, providing strong support for the transformation and development of the navy.
 
At the same time, China State Shipbuilding Corporation will continue to develop in the world-class marine equipment fields such as large cruise ships, liquefied natural gas carriers, and ultra-large container ships. It has made important contributions to China's economic and social development and global marine development.
