Evergreen Marine said that in response to operating needs, the subsidiary will purchase 8 container ships from related parties, including 1 7000TEU and 7 1600TEU container ships, with a total amount of US$94.11 million.
Evergreen's two subsidiaries, Evergreen Asia and Evergreen Hong Kong, acquired a total of 8 container ships from related parties.
Evergreen Asia acquired a 7000TEU container ship from Gaining Enterprise SA with a transaction value of US$27 million. Evergreen Hong Kong acquired 7 1600TEU container ships, each with a price of approximately US$8.8 million to US$10.5 million, with a total value of US$67.11 million.
Evergreen delivered 33 new ships this year, adding more capacity to its fleet. Among them, 4 24,000 TEU container ships were delivered to fully seize business opportunities in European routes. Evergreen is currently the seventh largest in the world with total capacity. 1.385 million TEUs, the fleet number of 202 ships, including 116 self-owned ships and 86 chartered ships.
