Maersk signs strategic cooperation agreement with China Post

On June 29, the long-term strategic cooperation meeting and strategic cooperation signing ceremony between China Post and Maersk was held in Beijing. The two parties signed a ten-year strategic cooperation agreement.
 
The cooperation between Maersk and China Post began in 2019. Maersk found that "Shipping Express" as a supporting logistics potential for cross-border e-commerce, and strategically advanced layout with China Post, and through coordination with American Post, Canada Post and customs of various countries, and cooperated with China Post to successfully develop intelligent e-commerce logistics solutions based on "Shipping Express" and multimodal transportation.
 
Affected by the epidemic, international air transport has been reduced significantly. To this end, through cooperation with China Post and through 9 shipping ports, Maersk is actively exploring new routes for express shipping to North America, quickly improving the operating procedures of domestic shipping, and opening up New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami in the United States. Multimodal transport between the five major ports and the two major ports of Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
 
This cooperation has created a new cross-border e-commerce logistics channel that is "economical, safe, reliable, and time-sensitive", ensuring smooth international export transportation channels, and ensuring the normal operation of e-commerce platforms and thousands of small and medium-sized e-commerce sellers.
