Michael Han (Han Yanbin) was appointed as head of APM Terminals in China


Maersk announced that Eddie Min (Min Gor Jon), will leave from his current position as China Portfolio Manager in APM Terminals on April, 2020, but will continue to support his successor Michael Han in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth succession. Eddie will also continue to sit on some of the China JV Boards during this period. He will be joining the Public Affairs team in China as Senior Advisor since May 2020.

Eddie has been with the Maersk Group over 35 years and has led the APM Terminals Business in China for more than 12 years. 
 
Tim Smith, Head of Terminals, Asia said, “We are extremely grateful to Eddie for his great contribution to APM Terminals’ business in China. His strong stakeholder management skills, long experience, and outstanding negotiating skills have enabled him to lead the team to deliver successful performance.”
 
Jens Eskelund, Managing Director of Maersk China limited said, “I am very pleased that Eddie will be joining the Public Affairs team in China as Senior Advisor. Eddie will bring an exceptional experience and industry knowledge to the team and will support A.P. Moller – Maersk’s businesses to deliver on our global and China strategic ambition.”
 
Maersk announced the appointment of Michael Han (Han Yanbin) as Portfolio Manager, China in APM Terminals. Michael will assume his position from March, 2020. 

Michael Han, 43, is a graduate in Economic Law from Dalian Maritime University. He further pursued his MBA in Organisational Leadership and Business Administration from Business School Netherlands in 2018. 
 
Michael has been with the Maersk Group since July 1998, Joining as a MISE trainee, he held various leadership positions in logistics, operations, trade management in Greater China, USA and Singapore. He currently works as the Head of Marine for Maersk Line in the Far East Operations Cluster.
 
Tim commented, “Michael will report to me directly and he will continue to be based in Shanghai. Michael’s deep knowledge of China’s port industry equip him well to succeed Eddie, and responsible for the development of our terminal businesses in Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen and Guangzhou Nansha.”
