Huangpu Wenchong wins contract for two 2,700 TEU container ships from Korean shipowner Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-09-20 16:35

On September 20, 2023, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, and China Shipbuilding Trading signed a construction contract for two 2,700 TEU container ships with South Korea's CK Line.

This type of 2700 TEU feeder container ship ordered by CK Line was designed by SDARI. This type of ship has an overall length of 188.8m, a width of 32.2m, a depth of 17.1m, a design draft of 9.5m, and a deadweight of approximately 34,900 dwt. It is classified into KR and complies with green environmental protection standards and the latest classification society rules.
 
South Korea is a traditional shipbuilding country. In recent years, several Korean shipowners have chosen Huangpu Wenchong for cooperation, marking the rise of China's shipbuilding industry.
