DSIC delivered the first 16,000 TEU container ship to MSC Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2023-06-09 13:47

On June 8, CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry and China Shipbuilding Trading delivered the first ship No. 1 of the largest new Panamax 16,000 TEU container ships built for Mediterranean Shipping Company.


The ship is the first ship of nine 16,000 TEU container ships built by DSIC for MSC. Its loading capacity, speed, fuel consumption and other performance and economic indicators are at the international leading level.


The ship has a total length of about 366 meters, a molded width of 51 meters, a molded depth of 30.2 meters, a design draft of 14.5 meters, and a structural draft of 17 meters. It can carry 16,520 standard containers and 1,800 reefer containers.
