Recently, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading signed a contract for the construction of 2+2 82,000 dwt multi-purpose ships with Grieg Group.
This ship is a new generation multi-purpose pulp carrier with high cargo adaptability. In addition to pulp, it can also load wood, bulk cargo, large cargo, and containers.
The ship has excellent environmental performance, and is an ammonia-ready ship, and the design meets the requirements of “Fuel ready (Ammonia[D, S, MEc,])" class notation.
Both the main and auxiliary machines are equipped with SCR systems to meet Tier III emission requirements; EEDI meets the requirements of Phase III, which is more than 60% lower than the baseline.
This project is Huangpu Wenchong's cooperation with Nordic shipowners again after many years, marking another important step for Huangpu Wenchong's multi-purpose/heavy lift ship type in the international market.
