On May 22, Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading, successfully named and delivered the world's largest 24,000 TEU ultra large container ship “MSC GEMMA”, built for ICBC Leasing and MSC.
"MSC GEMMA" is independently developed and designed by Hudong Zhonghua and is classified into DNV. The ship has a total length of 399.99 meters, a molded width of 61.5 meters, and a molded depth of 33.2 meters. It can load 24,116 standard containers at once.
This ship combines many highlights and characteristics such as green, environmental protection, efficiency, energy conservation, economy, and safety, which is the Chinese version of the world's latest ultra large container ship design.
