On February 28, Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) held the departure ceremony of the world's first four-way-drive battery hybrid electric Ro-Ro ship for P&O Ferries. After that, the ship will operate in the English Channel, mainly between Dover and Calais.

It also be the world's largest double-ended Ro-Ro ship. The ship will be equipped with 1,160 large capacity batteries, with a capacity of 8.8 MWh, equivalent to 150 passenger electric cars.
