On August 10, the first 109,000 DWT Aframax dual fuel product tanker "PROTEUS JESSICA" built by CSSC Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Bank of Communications Financial Leasing was delivered.
"PROTEUS JESSICA" is 249.95 meters long, 44.00 meters wide, 21.40 meters deep, 13.50 meters designed draft, 14.5 knots speed, and is classified into LR classification society.
The ship is equipped with two independent C-type LNG fuel tanks and is driven by WinGD low-pressure dual fuel main engine. The EEDI is 28% lower than the baseline. It has the characteristics of "green, environmental protection, energy saving and safety".
The project ship was signed on April 23, 2020, when the global COVID-19 epidemic was raging. The successful signing of the project greatly boosted the market confidence under the epidemic.
